About Me

In my family, there is my wife, Audrey, and my two teens/young adults: daughter, 21 and son, 19.

I left Paris in the late 80's to study business at San Jose State University where I met my wife, Audrey. I then moved to Canada, near Toronto to fulfill my French military service and then moved to Atlanta in the early 90's.

I always enjoyed traveling and meeting new cultures and their food. I lived in co-housing after my children were born for 10 years, and recently moved back to the same location. In this community, people share resources and live with more consciousness regarding our environment. This is a great place to raise children as they can hang out in mixed age groups, playing in pedestrian streets.

Now that our children are older and recently left the nest, Audrey and I can pursue our other interests, such as deepening our spiritual experience and helping others to free themselves from anxiety and other unwanted emotions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife, Audrey introduced our family to Couchsurfing and as a co-host, I really enjoyed the concept of meeting new people from so many backgrounds, most having traveled to many countries.

What a great opportunity to not only help others but also learn about their stories and experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

My choice of music varies on how I feel... it ranges from Brahms to Iron Maiden, and a lot in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 10 days in the Ténéré desert and witnessed the rise of the full moon as the sun was setting. Later on, that evening, went on top of a huge sand dune, and, could see like waves on the ocean, sand dunes dancing to the horizon. What struck me the most was the total silence while facing the immensity of the desert. This was one of the most defining spiritual experience I ever had.
