About Me

I was born in France where my family is from. We moved all over it when I was growing up (Normandie, Auvergne, Berry...). I hated moving when I was a kid, of course! But today, I can't wait to visit new destinations and live in different countries.

After college I moved in Morocco and lived there for almost 7 years. It was incredible and now I consider it as a second home country.

In 2018 I quit my job in Morocco to travel for a few months. Then I came back to France to spend time with family and friends... then a few weeks in Morocco to see friends! All that was 9 awesome months of my life!

In the end of 2018 I found a job in Oslo and moved there! Until now everything is great and I am settling down nicely, learning Norwegian and discovering this new country!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I've met couchsurfers while they were hosted by friends of mine and always had a great time meeting new people from different corners of the world.

Interests

I love food and I love to cook! Everywhere I go I always make it a point to try local specialties, and do it myself afterwards.

I like to discover new hidden places, like small local bars and restaurants.

I also like books! And reading them of course! I have never lived in an appartement without at least one packed bookcase.

Music, Movies, and Books

As for the music, I am a big fan of Abraham Inc, Cesária Évora, Chet Baker, Alt-J, Ibrahim Maalouf, second line and Dixieland jazz and blues in general. I like the energy and the various emotions that this music fills you with.

The book "Pain Amer" by Marie-Odile Asher made a strong impression on me! It's about the White Russians who come back to USSR after WW2.
"Un animal doué de raison" by Robert Merle and "Going Solo" by Roald Dahl also moved me.

"Deux jours à tuer", "The Darjeeling Limited", "American History X" are some of my favourite films. And tv show "The Shield" was awesome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During university, my classmates and I organized a trip to the Ivory Coast. The goal was to bring orthopedic parts (raw materials, prosthetics components, tools etc...) and go over there to make free orthopedic devices for patients with limited means. (Oh by the way, I am a prosthetist.) We had ups and downs but it was an incredible experience overall.
