Music, Movies, and Books

La vie devant soi - Romain Gary

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing up the highest volcano of Java - mount Semeru - (Indonesia) when I was 17 with my best friend remains one of the most breathtaking experience in my life. On top of the hiking and literally breathtaking part and beyond the extraordinary scenery from the summit, it reminds of a great human experience. Great moments shared with young Indonesians all along the 3-days hike, huge surprise on the summit as we arrived on the indonesian National Day and attended a solemn ceremony but most of all, it reminds me of a great encounter with a Indonesian couple without whom we would never have had the opportunity to climb up that amazing volcano.

Another incredible experience is much more recent and dates back to my 3-month internship in Beijing. After hiking different sections of the Great Wall, still too touristy for me even if scenic, I waited for my best friend and my brother to hike the rearest section of Jiankou. This 1-day hike was just amazing. Both gorgeous and dangerous every single step of the "way". Not a single human encountered on the way, many times the feeling of watching one's own death down the broken wall, adrenalin keeping going while hiking in front of one of the most amazing scenery I've ever seen - life-long memory.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am passionate about languages and always eager to share knowledge and learn from others. Hence I am always interested in learning other languages, improving Chinese, Portuguese or Italian, or practicing either English or Spanish. I can share French as my native language or the other languages I speak fluently.
