About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel around the world and tell about in on my blog www.globtrot.fr
ABOUT ME
I'm a 27-years-old guy who's really curious about everything. Among other stuff listed below, I love reading history and international politic books. I can spend hours on wikipedia, jumping from one topic to another, most frequently from one country to another. So obviously I love even more meeting new people from different countries and cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
"For what it's worth: it is never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There is no time limit, start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again." Benjamin Button
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm not a CSer just to offer my couch but more to meet people from everywhere. For me, hosting someone is the mean, not the goal. It means that if you come to my place I'll do my best to spend some time with you, show you around, chat and get to know each other, go out have a couple of beers... This goes the other way around: I rarely look for a free place to stay. Just wanna meet nice people!
Interests
In addition to what I described before, I love traveling. I quit my job in december 2013 to start travelling around the world (you can follow my adventures on www.globtrot.fr). I also love hiking, watching movies, listening to music, playing guitare and piano (or so I try), practicing different sports (use to play football, handball, goshin jutsu and tennis), go out and have some beers with my friends...
I like to share meaningfull conversations, talk about international politics (by that I mean trying to understand how your country works and how you feel about that). I also used to volunteer for helping two little children who have problems at school. Also, I'm pretty sure I want to go back to school after my trip in order to make my carrier match my passions. But that's another story...

Music, Movies, and Books
Films : the list of my favorite movies is too long to be written here (I used to go to the theatre 2 or 3 times a week). You'll have to discuss it with me. But I must warn you: once you make me talk about cinema, I don't stop !
Musique (for naming just a few so you have an idea) : AC/DC, Angus & Julia Stone, The Beatles, Ben Harper, Bruce Springsteen, C2C, Chet Atkins, The Cranberries, David Bowie, Fiction Plane, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Lenny Kravitz, Lou Reed, Michael Jackson, Muse, Neil Young, Oasis, Police, Queen, Ratatat, Shaka Ponk, Stereophonics, U2 (...)
Books : I'm ashamed to admit that I'm not much of a reader. Not novels at least. As said before, I read mostly history, geography and travel books, or ones that are related to one of my interests listed above.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driving around in the southwestern US from one National Park to another in a RV, hitchhiking though Europe, crossing Russia on a 4-days train trip, trekking in the Himalayas, teaching English in a Nepali school...
Teach, Learn, Share
It will be a pleasure to show you around if you're interested. I usually go out with my surfers, make them taste typical food and drinks, meet some friends... I'm not sure I can "teach" anything, but I can share things for sure! I recently taught a host how to make the special french desert "tarte tatin" (famous french apple pie) so I can show you that if you want?
