About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I wanna take a picture of every door handle in Rio de Janeiro
ABOUT ME
I'm a French guy currently living in Asuncion, Paraguay, for 6 months. I'm doing an internship there and then I'll have one semester left to graduate (master of public affairs).
I guess i'm a pretty easy-going guy! I can adapt myself to different situations as my personal experience in housing shows (i've been living with a house with 6 other people from different nationalities and we had a good time). I respect people's choices and i'm usually
not the one who's gonna bother the others for no reason.
I reasonnably like partying, and when i do it, i do it right! I'm curious and when i go in some place, i like to learn about the history and the way it works.
PHILOSOPHY
Tricky question, especially for someone who likes philosophy. I'd say I believe we're all full of contradictions and people need to get that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm unable to host people at the moment since I live within the French Embassy in Asuncion (it's where i'm interning) but i hope i'll be able to host you guys when i'm back in Paris if i find a big enough flat..!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been living with couchsurfers, i'm friend with couchsurfers, i've met many couchsurfers but i actually don't have a lot of experience through the website!
The first time i couchsurfed was in 2011 in France and it was great since i became friend with the hoster (i'm now planning to travel with her in Rio de Janeiro). I also did couchsurf when i got here in Asuncion and it was great to meet people in this city where i'm living for half a year.
Though i did couchsurf a lot when i lived in the US since i traveled a lot: i usually stayed at some friend's place or at the friend's friend place and it was great! (even if my back somehow starts to hurt after a few nights on a couch haha)
Interests
I like reading a lot (especially French novels from the 19th and early 20th century). I'm also keen on history and philosophy. Last year, i was the communications manager of a philosophy society which organized conferences and "cafés-philo" (discussions about philosophy), has a show on the radio, and published its first magazine.
I also like going to movies, and sometimes i do sport (volleyball, tennis, squash)

Souvenirs de Tocqueville
Gilles de Brasillach
I usually listen to pop/rock music. But I also like classical music, electro, raeggae...i discovered cumbia electro in Paraguay!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not good at this sort of things! I remember i ran with a huge bag on the Brooklyn bridge in NYC because i didn't stop at the right station (i was supposed to stay on Manhattan and ended up in Brooklyn)..and i was super late for a meeting with a friend + my phone was dead
Teach, Learn, Share
My knowledge of French history could interest you.. And I'm not so bad too in European and American history as well.
If you learn French, I obviously can help you. I can cook some stuff as well (tiramisu, quiche and stuff like that). My friend Laura i'm travelling with makes the best pasta!
I'm keen on the history of the places I visit, but also the way people live there.
