About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to visit as many places and meet as many people as I can! My average is 2 european countries and 1 non-european country every year.
ABOUT ME
My name is Pierre. It's a bit difficult to talk about myself in english :p But I'll try...
I'm studying in Lille (North of France). Lately, I've been working a lot for my PhD and I miss my friends a lot. But I hope to finish it this year and travel, hang out and see my dudes like I used to.
When I've free time, I like to ride my bike, go to the cinema (a lot), go out with friends...
I love traveling the world, learning and enjoying new cultures, music, food, meeting people and (try to) speak other languages. I can say "Cheers" in at least 15 languages :)
I think my love for travelling come from my childhood. Even if we didn't have a lot, my parents, my little brother and I travelled a lot around France. When I started to have my own money, each time I had a little saving, I bought a fly ticket to... anywhere in Europe.
During my Erasmus year (European Union student exchange programme) in Poland, I met a loooooot of people (half my facebook :p ) from all over the word and I loved it!
I'm doing a lot of carpooling for the friendly and enviromentaly side. There's a very good webside in France if you need a ride (www.covoiturage.fr).
My friends would say that I'm friendly, honest, easy going and a good guest ;)
PHILOSOPHY
We all heard that travelling open your mind. But only if you meet people and share with them!
Visit friends all over the world, carpooling... That made me a more open person and it encouraged me to meet even more people ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm just starting and hope to host and surf a lot in the future.
I hope it's clear I'm not interested in saving money. I could go to hotels but I hate their lookalike atmosphere and I want to meet people who live the place I'm visiting!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to couchSurfing.org and I discovered it thanks to Roel, a Dutch man I met when carpooling between the Netherlands and France.
But I've couchsurfed on a friends couch for a while... I spent 2 weeks with Tamiki in his flat in Tokyo, 3 weeks in Venezuela with Manuel's family for Christmas and I've been visiting many friends all over France and Europe and slept on their couches too.
No complaining and I haven’t lost any friends for now :p So I hope to make new friendship on this website :)
