ABOUT ME
My name is Piet (pronounce as pete), this is a typical Dutch name. At the moment I'm working as a Creative Concept Designer in the event industry in Amsterdam (which means I'm creating concepts for festivals and events). My ultimate life goal is to pursue happiness. As life is short you have to enjoy it as much as possible. As most people on this platform the thing I love the most is traveling and meeting new people and learn from their cultures. The words that describe me the best are: social, adventurous, cheerful and ambitious.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Because traveling is the best way to meet new people, with different cultures, different rituals, and different perspectives. When I travel I don't like to stay in a hotel and only see the touristic side of a country, I prefer to stay with locals in order to explore an area and avoid the mass tourism, to learn from other cultures, get inspired and to inspire others with my values and believes.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I lived in Izmir (Turkey) for six months. During my stay I traveled across the whole country, I saw many beautiful places, saw amazing things and met wonderful people. I traveled around by only hitchhiking and couchsurfing.
