I was quite late to discover my passion for travel, but boy (/girl), have I made up for that these last few years! Highlights include backpacking in Thailand, Indonesia, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba and Mexico, but I also enjoyed discovering bustling cities like New York, Paris, Rome, London, Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Marrakesh, Venice, Florence, Sienna, Bologna...

Other passions: photography, writing, scuba diving, longboarding, salsa and bachata dancing, guitar playing, music, film, motorcycling, and philosophizing about life in general :)

Traveling, exploring, meeting new people and discovering different cultures... I believe they are all essential parts of living a full life. Couchsurfing makes these easier and even more fun!

Everything from modern classic (Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnalds, Dustin O'Halloran) to postrock (Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor); from synthpop (Chvrches, Tame Impala, The xx) to singer-songwriter (Ben Howard, Birdy, Tom Odell, Patrick Watson, Bon Iver); and from hard rock/metal (Queen of the Stone Age, Tool, Pain of Salvation) to jazz (Avishai Cohen, Miles Davis). Also a lot of stuff in between (Muse, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd...).

FILM

Big fan of (among others) Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Biutiful, Babel, Birdman, Amores Perros), Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain) and Christopher Nolan (Memento, Inception, The Prestige) . Also at the top of my all-time favorites list: Amélie Poulain, Cidade de Deus, Mr. Nobody, Cloud Atlas, Into the Wild, Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight...
