I am an outgoing 25yr old PhD student, with many hobbies. My main hobbies include playing music (percussion & drumming) and scuba diving. Naturally I like travelling, I have travelled through Europe and recently some more distant destinations like Cuba and the United states.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every trip I make, is a bit more adventurous than the last one. I like making new friends when I'm on holiday, or even international friends when they are in holiday in the small but beautifull city of Leuven.

Interests

My interests are very wide. I am a mathematician and doing research in Artificial Intelligence, so this is one of the things I am passionate about. In my free time I go diving a lot, as well in nice tropical waters as in cold dark quarries in Belgium. It is a really nice thing to be weightless in a calm rich environment under the water. Lastly I've been playing percussion for the last 15 years, so I can also safely say this is one of the interests that defines me as a person.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I don't know, a lot! Anything from 70's-80's pop to Swing to Hard Rock to Rock 'n Roll to even classical music in the right moment. Hard to define :)
Movies: if I have to choose one, the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. That must be me nerdy mathematician side, I guess :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

All of the above, I guess. If I my host is interested in my field, I can show them some cool mathematics or discuss some interesting things about it. Or if I can show some music, I don't know. Mostly I think I can offer a good discussion, a nice conversation or some funny jokes.
