About Me

Starting end of April, I will travel Europe via rail. Starting on April 27th in Antalya, Turkey, I will go through Istanbul, Sofia, Bucharest, Budapest, Ljubljana, Venice, Milan, Switzerland (Glacier Express), Lyon & Barcelona. I plan to arrive in Barcelona in time for the Primavera Festival (May 31st).

If you live in one of these destinations and would like to host me, let me know! :-)
I love to meet some new people all around the world. My mission is always to see more countries and meet more people.

ABOUT ME

I'm 33, living in Amsterdam for seven years now and enjoying the city a lot. I like having a beer, doing fun stuff, going out, etc. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to welcome people in the city of Amsterdam and show them around as well, it's a beautiful city after all, you don't want to miss out on this ;-)

I'd also like to meet people in the countries I visit. You always get the best tips from the locals, so much better than hotel brochures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always when I say I have a broad sense of music, people learn me the most obscure jazz or weird goa vibes. Although I'm always interested, I feel like my genre is kind of mainstream. I like hiphop, indierock, techno & house music, etcetera.

I love watching movies. Period. :-D

I try reading a book from time to time but I have to admit I really don't have a lot of time for it, or at least I don't make enough time for it My favourite books include 1q84 by Murakami (although I haven't finished it yet), 1984 and I like biographies too or historical books. I'm now reading Congo, about Belgians past in Congo and Stonewall, about the gay right movement in New York.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

You should know I'm a totally unexperienced hiker, but in Switzerland, our group climbed 1km height in 1 day, and the view from the mountain top was amazing. And we saw an avalanche the same day, that was pretty impressive too :P.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've hosted around 5-6 people, and I've visited a host in Russia. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

What can I share with hosts? That's a good question. I like talking about Belgium and the Netherlands, and in my experience with surfers, people are generally interested how things are there, and I'm likewise interested in life in other countries. I'm social, talkative and love to do things. I don't like to be any burden either so when hosts don't have the time to hang out, I don't mind. I'm perfectly fine with hanging out by myself too :-)
