ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing person who is eager to learn and gain new experiences. I love travelling, music, books and films.

I am very passionate about everything that has to do with the USA and South-America (culture, history, politics ...)

I studied English and Spanish at the University of Ghent and American Studies at the university of Birmingham (UK)...

PHILOSOPHY

Not a shred of evidence exists in favor of the idea that life is serious

Live and let live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed in the USA, Spain and Iceland and met some great people thanks to this website :) I haven't hosted anyone yet, but I look forward to doing so - bring on those requests!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in the USA during a roadtrip in California, in some places in Spain (I studied in Valladolid for 5 months in 2009 and travelled to different cities during that period) and Iceland, where I went on a roadtrip with my best friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing things I've seen, nature-wise, are the Grand Canyon (USA), Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and Tikal (Guatemala) and the overall landscape in Iceland.

But even more than nature, I love big cities. I have thoroughly enjoyed Madrid, Barcelona, Prague, San Francisco but was most awestruck by the mother of all Cities: New York!

The most amazing thing I have ever done is a California roadtrip with some of my best friends: we couchsurfed with great people, went to some awesome places and visited the unbelievable Coachella festival - seeing Paul McCartney, surrounded by my best friends, is a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to explain Belgian politics - if that's something you'd be interested in- but I'd prefer to teach you all about Belgian beer and chocolate. If you host me I might even bring some :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belize, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
