ABOUT ME

I am south african coming to terms with my travelling addiction. I currently live in Edinburgh, enjoying the incredible gems and nature that Scotland has to offer. I am in love with nature, my husband, my cat and have recently discovered a love for capoeira aswell. After 4 years in france I am also in love with food(maybe a little bit too much!)Anyone who laughs loud with their belly and their eyes are more than welcome in my house!

PHILOSOPHY

Hmm well my philosophy is go with the flow, listen to your intuition and go where it tells you to go eventhough it's a little hard to always live by that philosophy. Keep on moving!! That's also very important, I think that our age will only be defined by the mobility of out bodies.
Oh and I think it's very important to have a sense of humour about things

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted alot of surfers in our wee little flat in Lyon but I have only couch surfed at someone else's place once in Estonia and it was a great experience. I look forward to couchsurfing plent more.

Interests

I'm constantly discovering new interests and I'm exited just thinking about all the new interests and passions that I will still discover that I never knew I had. I practice yoga regularly and try to make a regular habit of it but I am realizing that that kind of discipline is kind of couter my nature. I love the movement, song, music and community of capoeira. I am passionate about mother nature and discovering all the little gems that she has to offer us. I love dancing eventhough I probably don't do enough of it and I also like eating tasty food and sharing it with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open to most kind of music, as long as I can dance to it I like it. I have to admit that I don't have a great cinematographic(don't know if that's really a word) culture. I do like Miyazakis animations because they are so magical. In france I discovered some great movies, acters and directers like albert dupontel. I don't like thrillers and scary movies because they freak me out for such a long time even afterwards.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Sahara by myself. I was deported from Turkey and almost detained in Tunisia. When I was about 8 or so I hugged and kissed Bonnie Tyler.

Well I am always interested in learning new things from others. I am always happy to share my experiences with others. From how to cook a tasty bobotie to how to cross a border illegaly.
