ABOUT ME

Pike: I am a man who loves his life. I can summarize myself with these:
1) My life is mine own.
2) Do unto other you want another do unto you.
3) Human is best when s/he is free
4) I drink knowledge through books, Internet, and people
5) No man is an island; humanity is interdependence species

Sofia came to USA when she was 12 to pursue a better deaf education. She just graduated from college, Rochester Institute of Technology [Pike graduated from there too]. Sofia loves to socialize, eat, drink wine, and shopping. She owns Pike as a servant [Pike does not refute that]. Sofia enjoys going out to see places and at same time seeks time for peace from time to time.

We are deaf due to birth complications. Sofia can speak and hear well in English, Spanish, and Italian. Pike can do English. We sign to each other for communication. We will love to teach you to sign.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Pike's sister told him about CS Project and urged him to check it out for finding places to stay in Europe for the trip July 10th to Aug 5th 2009. From there, Pike decided to get on the boat with other CS folk, taking Sofia with him.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sofia- helping the Deaf Guatemalans to learn how to promote their rights in Guatemala and introducing Deaf US people to Deaf Guatemalans for cultural exchange

Pike- driving across USA from Maryland to California in 3 days with little sleeps!
