About Me

Hello everyone! We are a couple from Bariloche, Argentina and we've been together for almost three years now. We spent the past year travelling and working hard around New Zealand and we want to continue doing that everywhere. We are very calm, easy going and fun.

Gasti likes sports in general but specially football, as well as music and has a great sense of humor, and Pili likes everything related to arts and culture, like photography, literature, music and film, also meeting new people and having fun adventures. We both love playing the guitar and singing, cooking and we are very clean. We also love gardening.

These are our last months in New Zealand and want to make the most of them. We are currently in Napier and our goal is to reach Auckland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We dont want to be tourists but travellers. Meeting people, their backgrounds, culture, foods and stories is the best part of being able to do this trip. We know it's hard to know people deeply during short stays but still, it's always a good way to remind oneself about how similar we all are inside, despite where we come from.

Interests

Some of these look like a joke but all of them have a certain degree of truth in them. We just had fun writing down our interests.
Food makes the world go round for us, but we are not demanding about it, we eat and like almost everything.
Of course travelling and roadtrips, especially when it involves being near the ocean (we are mountain people so it is more rare and special for us).
We love when our hosts tell us all sorts of stories because it's a way to get to know them better and also share things in common.
We love animals, both cats and dogs are our favourite pets, but we tend to be more dog-people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pili: I'm really proud of myself for flying all the way to New Zealand from Argentina on my own! Also very proud of myself for overcoming my fear of driving. I'm also proud of the works I've done during my time in University and the friends I made on the way.

Gasti: I'm really proud of finishing my University Degree in Bussiness Administration. It took me 6 years and it was a hard road but very satisfying in the end.

We are both very proud of ourselves for mantaining a long distance relationship for a long time, with the longest we've been apart being 7 months. It was a hard process too but it made us better individuals and a better couple.

Teach, Learn, Share

Craft activities are always well received. Also a nice quiet moment for introspection, to move the body, of to watch a movie.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer help in the house and garden with anything thats required.
We can also cook a nice meal, or also something sweet for breakfast or tea. We are always willing to help.
We tend to be in a good mood, trying to feel grateful for being able to travel like this.
We are very calm.
