About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living in The Hague and making www.pimenjiska.nl a bigger blog.

ABOUT ME

Working and traveling in The Netherlands and Europe with my girlfriend. I'm blogging with her on http://www.pimenjiska.nl and developing http://treeinthelake.com. We've traveled China, Tibet, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Mongolia. Along the way we've enjoyed to meet friends and family. I prefer a good discussion or topic over small talk anytime, but it doesn't need to be serious. I like to think about everything I see/hear/do!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm open and dreaming of a better world while I enjoy the current one. There's yet too much to be seen for me to be able to make up my mind and any help is appreciated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None really. Though we hosted a random stranger in July 2014.

Interests

Most of the time I'm just taking in whatever is around me. I like to piece all my experiences together in an ever-changing jigsaw puzzle of concepts for a better world. Drag me out of my daydreams and I might actually be useful because my interest in most things helps my knowledge grow. I'm actively working on promoting our Dutch travel blog (http://www.pimenjiska.nl) and http://www.treeinthelake.com. This means I'm writing, making photographs and, once in every while, crawl behind a computer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My breath seemed to stop looking up to the Northern side of Mount Everest, having driven up to the base camp (5250m) from Lhasa Tibet, both because it was beautifully special and I hadn't properly acclimatised at all :).
Even better was climbing up to the Thorung La pass (5416m) on foot, as part of an epic 16-day trek around the Annapurna Himal in Nepal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help with computers, websites and gadgets. Together I like to tackle any topic.
