ABOUT ME
When I was 2 or 3 yrs old, my dad used to put me to bed telling stories about great deeds of scientists and researchers (the 17th century type - think Descartes, Newton, etc.). Like most kids, I mixed up fairy tales and facts too easily, and the (incorrect) idea that scientists always have flowing beards, ride on horses and dress up like knights got stuck in my head. Unfortunately, the idea didn't go away, until I found myself in the middle of a PhD program.
These days I encourage/dupe other kids to do a PhD. Alongside, I conduct research from a mechanical engineering perspective on biological topics - e.g. how we produce voice, how we break bones, etc.
PHILOSOPHY
Spread love. Educating, learning, helping others, planning road trips, solving everyday problems, cooking, eating out, buying groceries, watching a game of soccer, reading wikipedia, painting, listening to music, community service, are some of my ways of spreading love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf, and talk while doing both. Sharing life experiences while traveling is a great way of getting educated.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Everybody I have hosted until now, been hosted by, or just met through CS, has been amazing. Either the world is indeed full of good people only, or CS brings out the best in everyone. Either way, it is a good thing :)
