About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
- Travel the world and be able to fully appreciate a country for what it's worth, through the eyes of a local!
- Build REAL relationships through couch surfing - and to give back to friends and others who want to experience the east-coast of the United States.
- Learn more about what the world has to offer.
ABOUT ME:
- I currently live in the small town of Columbus, Georgia, but I've lived quarters of my life in California, Massachusetts, and more recently Florida - where the majority of my family and friends live (definitely possible to help a fellow couch surfer out in the sunshine state!)
- I work in the medical field as a paramedic and an advanced trauma practitioner.
- I am slowly but surely working towards a pre-med degree to pursue a career in a higher medical profession.
- I truly love the outdoors; rock climbing, backpacking, camping, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, trail running... That only covers what I'm active in. Definitely trying to learn multi-pitch climbing, ice climbing, and mountaineering in the future.
- I'm not just an outdoorsman, but I'm also a foodie! I am constantly looking for new places to eat and drink in the states - I could spend all day out on the town just eating and drinking, who wouldn't?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always been the adventurous type and my spontaneity has taken me all over the United States on solo trips - especially road trips!
I've always wanted to travel abroad to a different country, but a solo trips around the world seemed risky. I had always wished there was a way to meet locals and to travel with them!
It wasn't until I met a Norwegian that told me of her traveling all around the world for months on end... through couch surfing! She has really inspired me to travel solo by introducing me to this website.
WHAT I'M HOPING FOR:
I am really hoping to find a host who is comfortable with making friends and open to hanging out in the outdoors or the city. Who says we can't go for a hike for a day and then go back the same night for drinks out on the town? Sounds like an excellent way to make memories to me.
I am also hoping that my host would Like for me to show them the same hospitality when the come to the U.S., so I can show them the American outdoors and all the local hotspots!

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music would best be described as eclectic. A Spotify playlist could begin with Debussy, move to Kendrick Lamar, and finish with Daniel Caesar.
My top movie selections can be described with little difference from my taste in music. I tend to stick to what's popular, but documentaries are among my favorite genres and I can appreciate any film with a good soundtrack.
My book shelf is consistent with non-fiction genres like military history, (auto)biographies, and social/psychological books.
George Orwell, Malcolm Gladwell, Jon Krakauer, Simon Sinek, Dale Carnegie, and Adam Grant are some recent authors I've read from.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once resuscitated a little injured goat who had passed away back to life!
