About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Follow my dream of cultivating healing for both nature and humans through growing therapeutic connections.
Explore, love, inspire, discover, learn, and connect, all while trying to live intentionally upon the Earth.

ABOUT ME
Hello! I am someone who finds peace and transcendence when I sit with plants or climb to a good view in the mountains. In my free time I hike, bike, climb trees, play around with my guitar, simply exist in nature, identify plants, ferment, meditate, read, and garden.

PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is this I guess (and to be ever-evolving): Live with compassion and gratitude, acceptance and passion. Foster connections with others, with self, with the world and all of existence that surrounds us. Embrace vulnerability. Be present with all that arises. Love and treat yourself well so that you are genuinely able to love and treat others well. It all starts from within. The human experience can be a hard one, so let's do our part to try to make it a little better for one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have made friends through this that will always hold a very special place in my heart. I love the Couchsurfing community and that Couchsurfing brings strangers together in a way that fosters real human connection because we are able to cut out the capitalist/business transactions. It gives us a chance to willingly share what we have, be that space in our homes or the stories in our hearts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm reading a lot about psychology/ecopsychology and mindfulness for school (how awesome!). Sacred Plant Medicine: The Wisdom in Native American Herbalism has really done a lot for my relationship with plants. I also read plant identification books like nobody's business. I would like to read more about eco-feminism, medicine making, and natural building.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail has hands down been the most amazing thing I've ever done. I can't really describe it here, because there is far too much to describe, but I'm happy to do so in person. :) But moving to Asheville, NC to pursue my dream of working in wilderness therapy is WAY up there too. I learned so so much about life, myself, and healthy relationships/communication.

I am eternally grateful for these experiences and all of the others that I haven't mentioned.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about the plants, animals, geography, and history of the place that you live. Where is there to hike, what is there that is cool/fun to do. I'd also love to learn about some of your most life sculpting experiences. What has brought you to where you are and to be the person you are? With that I would love to share some of my experiences. What has sculpted me, what I feel passionately about and why. I would love to exchange life philosophies....or even just simple words of advice or stories that you and I have found compelling. Let's share inspiration or entertainment or a wide array of other things. There is value in it all. I can also teach bow-drilling (primitive fire making) and play some guitar!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a great listener so I would be more than happy to share an ear. I can also cook pretty well and love cooking for others, especially breakfast. I also am very passionate and inspired and love getting to share that with others. :)
