ABOUT ME

I've been traveling many places in Europe and spent an exchange year in India.

I am living together with my husband and our two children - and we try to keep on travelling as before. We have been to Mexico, we tried couchsurfing with all of us near Amsterdam and are currently preparing for our next trip to Colombia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience in Lisbon was great - I enjoyed the town, the wonderful weather, friendly people and two very nice hosts!

In Corse we stayed with Florient in Bastia who made us a lovely dinner (sanglier) and told us everything about the island.

Besides I surfed many couches of friends and people I got to know during my trips even though they were not registered at couchsurfing.
The wonderful thing about couchsurfing is sharing everyday life with the people you visit and getting to know so many things about their country/culture/city...

What I love about having people at my place is to try some of their local dishes (if they are willing to show me...) and hear about their lives and experiences.

Intereses

Listening to all kinds of music and playing violin, cycling, climbing, languages, literature, theatre, meeting friends, cooking with friends, trying some new cake recipes, reading, planning trips, sewing clothes for my kids...

Música, películas y libros

I like the German authors Thomas Mann, Hermann Hesse, Martin Walser, Günter Grass, Ilija Trojanow and several others. I also enjoyed reading Sartre, Camus, Michail Bulgakov and Matt Ruff. I've also become fond of Indian English literature as for example the novels of Amitav Ghosh or Kiran Nagarkar. However, I hardly find time to read since being a mother :-)

Movies I like are 'Little Miss sunshine', 'Amélie', 'Frühling, Sommer, Herbst, Winter und Frühling', 'The Fall', 'Paris je t'aime' and Olsenbande.

I like several kinds of music such as jazz, folk, classical music, bollywood music and rock. However, I only know a relatively small range of groups etc. and I am always interested in getting to know something new.

Probably the most amazing thing I have been doing, was spending almost one year in India as an exchange student.
