About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To remember the past, hope for the future and live in the moment. I want to create ties and make connections and grow more and more culturally aware of the world in which we live. I want to have fun while inspiring change.
ABOUT ME
I'm a senior at Ohio State, double majoring in English and Comparative Religious Studies and a minor in French and trying to graduate before I turn eighty. I am a dreamer and a writer, a do-er and a thinker, a procrastinator and a perfectionist. I am a puzzle, yet simple. I am a slew of contradiction. I love my friends and family and I would do anything for the people that I am closest to...however, it takes a lot for me to trust someone. I think people are selfish and the world would be a much better place if we just cared about one another. Sometimes I want to take people by the shoulders and tell them that the world is so much more than they expect. I believe in laughter as medication. I hate feeling hopeless. I am a little bit of a music snob. I will most likely end up being one of those old women whose house is overflowing with books and cats...except I'll have to find a different pet of choice, because I hate cats. I want to adopt children with HIV. I love intellectual conversation. I laugh at stupid people. I am travelling to France for the summer. I think America should be waaay more socialist. I hate George W. Bush. I love baseball games and sunshine. I hate socks and shoes. I love sweet tea and the ocean. I have no idea where my life is going, but I am ready to sit back and enjoy where it leads me. I believe that everything that happens in our lives can be used to turn us into better people. I don't believe in regrets, because regrets change us from the person we are, and keep us from becoming the person that we will one day be. I am at a point in my life where I am tired of bullshit, so you can bet that if I don't like you, you'll know it.
Likes: The color pink, flip flops, rain, the smell of crayons, the internet, baseball, candles, bright colors, pretty things, books, writing, the ocean, being outside, snuggles, cereal, bad music, reading, debates, politics, smirnoff, boys and being myself.
Dislikes: People in general, football, crazy drunk people, apathy, self-absorbtion, stupidity, arrogance, vegetables, Tom Cruise, my bio class, open doors, people touching my things, feeling hopeless, insincerity, skanky girls and boys who like them and cranky people.
You Have a Choleric Temperament
You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.
You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.
At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.
What Temperment Are You?
PHILOSOPHY
I don't believe in regrets; I believe that everything happens in our lives for a reason, whether good or bad. I believe that people are intrinsically good. I believe that America is full of self-inflated people, and my purpose in CS2 is to ensure that I don't fall into that sterotype. I believe that people need to take care of one another. I want to write and live and experience everything.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. I am one of those people who seriously listens to everything, from classical to rap to country and everything in between. My favorite band is probably the Goo Goo Dolls, and I tend to listen mostly to American music although a few breakthrough bands have caught my heart (Oasis, Blur, etc)
As for movies, I like anything that I can relate to, or that makes me laugh. My taste of movies tends to lean towards either comedies or strange movies. My new favorite movie is Little Miss Sunshine, rounding that off though are Donnie Darko, Love Actually, Tommy Boy, Hot Fuzz, Pan's Labyrinth, Zoolander, RENT, Eternal Sunshine, My Girl, Fight Club, etc.
Books. I cannot even try to narrow this down. I love to read. My favorite books include The Poisonwood Bible, The Harry Potter series, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, anything by Frost, Shakespeare or Dickenson, The Giving Tree, and The Little Prince. I spend waaay too much money at Half Priced Books.
As for television, I adore Grey's Anatomy, but other than that, I don't really have time to watch most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After the Katrina hurricane hit in the southern united states, I joined the American Red Cross and travelled down south for three months. While the wreckage and destruction was devestating, the most important thing that I experienced there was the utter tenacity of human spirit. People are amazing creatures, and the will to live and the hope for the future is a breathtaking thing in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I am not really an expert at anything, but I am a jack of all trades...give me something and I can probably pick it up and teach it to someone else.
Learn: Anything. I soak things up like a sponge. Teach me.
Share: Experiences and lives.
