About Me
ABOUT ME
20-something who doesn't really know what she wants to do with her life, but is happy as long as there's plenty of food and good people.
I work for a backpacker hostel in the beautiful blue mountains, and hear so many amazing travel stories that it just gives me itchy feet and makes me want to see more of the world. I have a useless Arts degree that allowed me to meet amazing people and live in an amazing place, but real talk, I think I'd like to be a butcher. Because food = yay!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I can get behind anything with a decent plot. Or even something with a totally terrible plot if enjoyed with the right company. I am a sucker for a good swords and/or sandals epic.
Music: It tends to lean towards the classic. Fleetwood Mac, Peter Paul and Mary, Neil young et al, the eagles, Bowie, Meatloaf, Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis. More current stuff includes: Boy and Bear, Florence and the Machine, Gotye etc. I do also harbour a secret love of Power Metal, but shh, don't tell anyone.
Books: Tolkien, Harry Potter (predictable?), Song of Fire and Ice. I read a lot of fantasy, but have a real soft spot for Agatha Christie Paperbacks. I LOVE Tim Winton. I also read Last Train to Lisbon recently and it blew my mind. My german reading consists mostly of Pippi Longstockings and The Hobbit (auf Deutsch! I'd be lying if I wasn't kind of proud.)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to sew up that hole in the crotch of your favourite jeans that has been scarring people for the last three months. And possibly an obnoxious Aussie drinking song that gets everyone very drunk, very fast.
