Hey there! My name is Alex and I am an easy-going 21 year old from Australia. I am on a gap year in Canada, I just finished my uni exchange at Queen's and now I am working for Parks Canada in Vancouver. I love the outdoors. I saw snow for the first time the other day!!! I was like a child in a candy store hehe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and hearing about their journey through life and how they got to where they are today. I have got the travel bug - listening to adventures gives my inspiration for my next trip! I really enjoy exploring new places and getting inside advice from locals. Unfortunately, I am unable to host people as I am living out of a suitcase.

My all time favourite band has got to be Coldplay! I love watching movies; my sister studies film so we watch all sorts of movies together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had a few WOWZA moments in life. They have all been experiences with nature. My most memorable experience was in Borneo when I saw pygmy elephants crossing a river and the other was when I swam with manatees in Florida. I will never forget those moments, I loved observing these two beautiful creatures.

I study environmental management at university, I can help you live a more sustainable lifestyle! I was a swimming instructor back home and so I can provide swimming lessons (if it is not too cold)/babysitting? I love sharing my experiences and am always up for a chat.
