ABOUT ME
I am an Venezuelan immigrant living where my work takes me, right now In New York City, after living in the Brazilian Amazon for five years. I am a biologist who knows a little bit about the eight-legged creatures that probably scare you :) and I work at the American Museum of Natural History. Depending on the day, I can even let you enjoy the museum.
I live with my wife, a super happy American woman who always has some positive thought to share. And of course, I need to mention our two lovely cats, Peppa and Flash, so being pet friendly is a must.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Although the concept "amazing" is relative to each person, I would think of a few things:
Once I went through the Brazilian Amazon and the Venezuelan Gran Savana, backpacking, with no money
Some exciting rappel (canyoning) in beautiful hidden waterfalls in some Venezuelan mountains
Working with the Red Cross in a couple of indigenous communities in the Western mountains of Venezuela was an unforgettable experience too.
I also discover new species all the time, of different kinds of bugs you probably never heard about before. Some people think that is interesting, other people kind of freak out when they see them, although I can ensure you they are all harmless :P
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about neotropical ecology and biodiversity, specially arachnids
I always enjoy cooking tips
I like to share some social impressions with people from another countries, to know a little bit how works our world
Without getting into an argument and always respectfully, I enjoy sharing political perceptions and thoughts, if the conversation comes to that, and it usually does.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, French Guiana, Panama, Suriname, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
Brazil, United States, Venezuela
