Overview
About Me
I am a 26 year old Polish, just finishing my studies and started to work. I love history, travel and learning languages - my French is quite basic, but my German is speakable ;) and soon to be fluent! ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To learn more from travel by meeting people privately! My perception of couchsurfing is when you visit people, you are very likely to get an interesting conversation, on a person to person level, even though most likely being from other backgrounds :)
When my girlfriend an I finally rented a flat with a sensible couch, and couchsurfer friendly roommates :), we felt we could finally join couchsurfing and started to receive guests (by Alexandra, our flatmate, who already had both an account and couchsurfing experience) and after a few we feel it is our turn to give it a try! :)
Interests
History - I often catch myself visiting historical websites while randomly browsing the Internet ;) - though I mostly try to get my knowledge from the books - and sometimes elderly people themselves. Recently I even got to explore historical reconstruction - it is quite awesome! ;)
Politics, EU and economic systems
Calisthenics - now regularly for a year, very natural, healthy (and contusion-free) and challenging sport :)
A bit about Law and Sciences - I'm no pro, but love to talk to people from different backgrounds - there is always something I can learn :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I change my music from time to time - recently can't stop listening to Wolfmother, Bokka (Polish local specialty, very nice), Foals - but also many others, Bowie, classic some Japanese jazz - very interesting to chillout. The kings of the previous months were La Femme than Caravan Palace, C2C, even earlier Arctic Monkeys - there is always something interesting to listen to :)
Books: from the older novels: Brothers Karamazow, Master and Margaret, The Good Soldier Svejk, Heart of Darkness - absolutly genial :)
the newer novels: this time mostly Westerners - books by Orwell, Ken Follet, Jo Nesbo, Kurt Vonnegut, Stieg Larsson
report: the greatest of: Kapuścinski, than Gustaw Herling-Grudzinski
fantasy: George Martin, Andrzej Sapkowski..... and of course JKK Rowling some time ago :)
Movies: the recent unbeaten champion is "Knopflkari" by Petr Zelenka, but i can never forget the movies by Kosturica, which are hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time for me. I think I watch a lot of movies, both IMdB top 500-style and those less known though very good, when I manage to track them down :)
