I am Piotr, I currently live in Wrocław, where I work as a Programmer in Nokia. I got hook up on traveling around Europe. During my university days I have visited a lot of countries and I don't mean to stop now. I am always keen on searching for inspiration, that's why I love to meet new people. When being at the university wanted to travel around Europe and meet amazing people in all the countries I have visited. On each trip I was treated as a guest by the hosts and had the opportunity to see the country from the perspective of people living there. Something I have never experienced as a tourist. After few of such trips I decided that I never want to be a tourist anymore. For me traveling is about meeting fantastic people and sharing our experience together. Learning from each other and knowing each other. I found that couch-surfing is all about that, so I hope to gather some amazing memories with all of you couch-surfers.

Interessi

I'm the Jack of all trades, master of none type. I love to try new stuff, but I can't say I am dedicated to any of it. I'd love to go on a sailing trip in summer and skiing in winter. On a free weekend I gather my friends to go on a road trip. After a long day of work I workout or train for a half-marathon, then I struggle to find some time for my guitar or language practice. I do my best not to sit around on the couch, cause there is still so much to do. My inspiration are the amazing people around me. For a yesr now I am learning latin dances like zouk, bachata and salsa, and after that I'll find a new thing.

Musica, film e libri

Music
Changes with my age: I used to listen mostly to rock music and dream of being a rock star. Now I listen a lot to world music to hear new flavors every day . From every trip I go I bring a list of amazing local music I heard. I especially enjoy Balkan music: from Serbian trumpets to Greek folk. Also music from Cape Verde, Fado and suck. Each journey makes me richer in sounds.

Movies
I don't watch them as often as I used to. I know I missed a lot of good movies, so if you can recommend something from your country, I'll be glad to watch it.

Books;
When I was younger I loved fantasy novels: The Hobbit, LotR, The Witcher, Disk World and recently Song of Ice and Fire.
Later I started to read the English classics to practice my English: The Godfather, Alice in Wonderland, Dracula, A Christmas Carol, War of the Worlds.
I practice my German to be able to move to some German literature some day. I already have some books of Karl May on my Kindle waiting for me to pick my German skill up.
