About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn chinese properly, and travel to the Far East
ABOUT ME
I'm a geek, I suppose, since I do everything that's expected of one. I am an IT guy by profession. I try to see as much of the world as I can, by constantly learning new languages. I'm quite into asian culture, and am currently studying chinese on a university, in high hopes to be able to travel to the Far East soon. I also am a big fan of good beer, and am always open to finding new brands worth trying. As long as you do like beer, I am pretty sure there is some common tongue for us to find, regardless of who you are.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that everybody has the freedom to do anything, as long as it does not limit other people's freedom. And that, as they say, is that.

Interests
I've been a gamer for almost 2 decades now, since the beginning of the Playstation era. I don't neglect any genre, but am mainly into rpg's and fighting games. I read a lot, mainly sci-fi and fantasy books. I love good cinema, even though good movies are hard to come by nowadays. I'm also into pen & paper RPGs, languages, chinese and japanese culture... The list goes on forever, really.
I recently started to play Majiang (麻将) on regular basis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made it through platinum in Demon Souls? Cooked tasty Yakisoba? Communicated in chinese in Paris' china town district? Lived through a frontal car accident? Life is full of amazing things, it's pretty subjective what really deserves that adjective, I think. No parachute jumping, though.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I am an IT engineer, so I do know quite a bit about that. I've been programming mainly in Java, and a bit of C++/C. I specialize in database management. It all depends what you need, really.
I also know some languages, as you can see in a different section of my profile. I use the Memrise app - http://www.memrise.com/user/Heiah/ - feel free to follow me. I made some courses on Chinese on my own, feel free to try those.
Oh, and I suppose I can teach you how to play Majiang (Mahjong, 麻将 or whatever it is called in your language), if you have the patience - although I unfortunately do not have a travelling set, so it's only possible in Poland.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a little, I suppose - mostly nothing fancy, but edible.
