About Me

I am a very positive, cheerful and easy-going person that loves adventures, especially traveling. I fell in love with hitchhiking and can't get enough of it, every time I have some free time I want to go see yet another place. Next year I am planning to travel around the globe for a year or two.

Right now I am accepting guests to my house. It's a student's flat, so it's neither big nor very nice and I would only have a matress for you (check house section of my photos) . I live 300 meters from Stokłosy metro station, it seems far but city center is 20 minutes by metro.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't find couchsurfing as a way of getting a free accommodation, as my tent serves this purpose quite well and I really love capming.

Instead I love about couchsurfing that it gives you the opportunity to meet people living in various countries and get to know their culture. I believe, that its the most important experience during whole trip, because travelling just to check out places you've been to makes no sense to me.

Interests

I am keen hitchhiker and when I am not travelling you can be sure that I am planning my next trip.

I love psychology of business, psychology of marketing and all the financal staff that I can think of.

As I dreamt of being a pilot I love to play Microsoft Flight Simulator or Battlefield. I would like to start gliding or parachuting course one day - the only thing is stopping me from flying is money.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music my favourite genere is rock. I love to listen to polish bands such as happysad or budka suflera. Among foreign bands I like Three Days Grace, Nightwish or Linkin Park.

I have loved watching movies since I was a kid. Right now I can say that I really like ambitious, psychological films that have some meaning. I think I got bored with watching movies about indestructible heroes that save the world, as I watched too many of them and they all seem to me the same.

It's impossible to name here all the movies I loved and was impressed with, but to my favourite ones belong Shawshank Redemption, John Q , The Pursuit of Happyness or Mr. Nobody.

You can find almost all the movies I watch and how I rate them under this link:

I really like books of Dan Brown such as The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons. I prefer reading detevtive or adventure books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's never easy to choose just the one thing one is most proud of, but if I were to decide I would go with my hitchhiking trip to spend New Year's Eve of French Riviera.

Hitchhiking in winter tests your limits just like you were climbing your own, small Mt. Everest.

You have to deal with blizzards, that close the roads you were supposed to drive through, which you don't need to consider when planning your holidays trip. Day lasts just a couple of hours and it's not so easy to get a ride when its dark. Foremost it is very hard not to loose your faith when it's -10 Celsius degrees and you get stuck on one gas station for 16 hours and it's only one day left to New Year's Eve. Furthermore, every 30 minutes you have to leave your spot just to get warmer in any building, cause otherways you will freeze. Every night in such a temperature, when you don't have expensive hardware is a new challenge.

Eventually we made it on time and spent the best New Year's Eve in our lifes , and what's even more important that's the way I met my (well right now ex :D)girlfriend.

I will also remember surviving (literally) 3 days on Iceland trip, when aluminium pods of our tent didn't make it through a hurricane and broke just like matches and as a result we lost our home. Despite the fact we managed to survive severe weather conditions, but furtunately we lost our tent after visiting almost whole island, so we didn't loose that much :)
