Overview
About Me
I studied Spanish philology and currently I'm working as Team Leader in a glass manufacturing company near Bilbao. In my free time I like to learn new languages, at this moment it's Basque and Portuguese. And travel.
At first I did it to see ALL the museums and galleries mentioned in the guide, but I realized that the best part about traveling is hanging out with the locals and getting to know their culture and habits. Now the thing that I enjoy most is learning about new countries and... local food! :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm dedicated to foreign languages, so it's a great opportunity for me to develop my skills. I also want to enjoy my stay by learning from the locals. You are the best knowledge base when it comes to discovering new places. I also believe that couchsurfers can tell me a lot about their travels and inspire me to plan the next trip!
Accepting guests is also a good way to practice my language skills. Also, if I have time and you are willing to see my city in a local way, I am happy to show you around.

Music, Movies, and Books
Recently I've been enjoying the 60s music a lot. I usually listen to my favorite Spotify playlists and they include fado, salsa, jazz, Latin pop, Swedish pop. I used to listen to a lot of Korean and Japanese music as well. Some of the artists are still playing in my room sometimes.
I love Stephen King's horror novels. I also read a lot travel literature and history books related to the countries I'm interested in (Scandinavia, Far East, Latin America). My recent inspiration has been Aung San Suu Kyi - the opposition leader in Burma. I read a great book about her life. When it comes to travel literature, I definitely enjoyed reading about the remote Faroe Islands. Hopefully I'll get there soon!
My favorite director is Pedro Almodóvar. I just love the atmosphere in his movies. I also like Roy Andersson's films, not well-known, but picturing the true (Swedish :D) condition of humanity. Quentin Tarantino is just a classic.
I'm up-to-date with Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, Suits, Narcos, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and many other tv shows.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I decided to visit Georgia and stay there a month, which was probably the best trip I've made so far and met so many kind and genuine people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn about how other people see the world, how they travel, because on every trip I make I learn something new about the ways of traveling. One of them is couchsurfing, which I'm trying now.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely share my adventures and practice our language skills together!
