About Me
Hello! I'm Piper :)
I'm a huge foodie, storyteller, goofball and people-person. I really enjoy solo travel and am always finding excuses to buy a plane ticket to a new place! I'm basically trying to eat my way across the globe and learn more about international cuisines and food cultures.
I work remotely as a content strategist and social media marketing guru (aka I manage social media accounts, write copy and create digital marketing strategies for brands around the world.) And I run a vegetarian travel blog: https://www.instagram.com/vegaroundtheworld/
I'm the former host of an awesome Airbnb experience in NYC, the global vegan food tour, which celebrated Brooklyn's vegan immigrant cuisines! http://abnb.me/EVmg/BeoLWIjJIG
NOTE: I'm from New York, but I just moved to Sydney, Australia for the year! I hope to be actively accepting guests soon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My two favorite parts of travel are befriending locals and finding ways to "eat like a local."
While couchsurfing is quite cost effective, the biggest perk is that I have the opportunity to meet people! Oftentimes travel (and eating) experiences become memorable not necessarily because the place you visited was beautiful or renowned but really because you explored it with interesting, inspiring, adventurous, silly and quirky people.
I love storytelling and want to learn more abut others' perspective on the world. I'm also a big foodie and love exploring local food scenes, so finding a local "expert" is wonderful.
IMPORTANT: I'm NOT using couchsurfing as a hookup site. I'm using this to connect with other travelers and local hosts that share similar interests. If you're looking for a hookup, don't message me.
