About Me
Friends, I'm back on the road! Right now staying for a year in New Zealand!
WHAT I'M UP TO NOW
Past two years I have been busy working and studying and trying to get ready for my dream trip around the world. Thus far, it has not happened (what a wonder) and I wish to meet people who have stories to tell about travels during these years and what it's like to live a nomadic lifestyle. I don't expect all of you to be nomads (some of you might be on business trip or just passing through and those are equally as good reasons to ask for a host) but I wish to be a nomad someday.
Because I haven't been able to travel outside of Finland, I've been travelling within and so far I think I know at least Helsinki pretty well. I have tips about places to visit and I know things to do. I hope this will be useful for you.
In general, I'm a quite down-to-earth person even if sometimes I enjoy spending time head in the clouds. It's easy to get pulled to the hectic life of today's world, but I'm once again learning to fight against it with peaceful attitude. The goal is to not have any schedules and just going with the flow. I'm not there yet, but incorporating that mindset is something I aim to do. At home, I enjoy reading books, watching series, doing sports and spending time alone and with other people. My time also involves spending time studying and incorporating feminist thought and understanding methods to deconstruct power hierarchies. Outside of my home, I like to visit cultural sites, museums, theaters and events. If you're interested in these, you might have an extra companion if that fits your and my plans.
If you're planning to send me a request, please don't do that more than a week or maximum of two beforehand. I live life very much on day to day basis and I don't know my schedule too much ahead. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my travels I have met such kindness that I decided that once I have a place to host, I should share this kindness with other travellers as without it, life would be extremely cruel and sad place to live. Sadly, the pandemic came on the way, but now I'm here again. I hope this community has survived and is still as kind as it was a few years ago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a lot of amazing things. Some days even getting up from a bed is an amazing thing and sometimes fighting your fears and going somewhere you've never been is the greatest thing ever.
Although I would say the spring I decided to move to Italy by myself changed a lot for my future.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn to speak French better. This year I have actively been studying and discussing French online but offline conversations are the ones that teach us the most.
