About Me
Halløj and welcome to my profile. Please read through my profile before requesting for a stay. I will be glad to hear from you. :)
I am rather busy at the moment, so if I don´t reply in time, I am truly sorry.
TRAVELING
CURRENT MISSION
You never stop learning...
ABOUT ME
I finished my master in engineering within the area of Physic and Nanotechnology in April 2016, and now I am doing a Ph.D. on the subject of surface science and electron microscopy.
In my spare time, I do a lot of physical exercising, biking, and traveling. Else, I like to cook, have a passion for beer, wine, and coffee.
PHILOSOPHY
I find that life is about learning. That is the only way to keep getting further. As to quote Isacc Newton, "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." So to get further, one have to learn from other. And to learn from other, you need to meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I do couch surfings to meet people and interact with them. I do it to exchanges cultures, ideas, and beliefs and thereby getting a better understanding of the world we are living in. And I do it to share the Danish values and show other how it is to be a Dane.
Therefore, I will be much more likely to host you, if you share my passion for interactions and exchanging cultures, ideas, and beliefs. Telling me that you just want the free place to sleep is not the way to convince me to host you.
Also, please send me a request instead of a mail. I tempt to oversee the mail due to the number of requests I get.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed multiple times now; both on my journey in Australia in 2009-2010, on my biking trip through Belgium, Nederlands and Germany during the summer 2014 and lastly during my bike trip through Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary in summer 2015
I have also hosted several times now. I put an effort in showing the Danish cultures, histories, and mindset. I am trying to my best to make people feel like home and as close as possible to feel like a Dane.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing thing I ever have done, was to cycle 3000 km through Australia, with all my things packed up in a little trailer. It have been the most amazing way to travel, with both good and bad. But i would never have seen, experienced so much or met so many people in any other way....

In the summer 2014, my friends Erik and I decided to go for a run again. We therefore hitchhike to Belgium, where we bougth a bike each and begun to bike around in Belgium. After two week in Belgium we biked our way up through the Nederlands and Germany back to Denmark. We ended up with doing a little over 1800 km on our trip.

During summer 2015, I did a long solo biking trip through Europe. Starting in Copenhagen, biking to Berlin and Dresden (Germany), crossing into Poland, all the way down to Slovakia, shortly into Austria and finally ending up in Hungary, Budapest. Here, I went to the Szeged festival and meet up my good friend and first hosted couch surfer, Rozi.
The trip ended by being over 2100 km.
