Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
see the country/world. meet new people in new places. maybe tour a bit (i play music).
ABOUT ME
i'm 22, graduated from a local Community College with an associates in Recording Technology. i have played trombone for about 11 years now. i also run a micro indie record label and play in a couple bands. oh, and i work sometimes.
PHILOSOPHY
i think people should care less about who they know and how they look and more about what they are doing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
my couch kind of sucks...it's an old waiting room couch, so it's not that big or comfortable. but we have plenty of ground space and sleeping bags and pillows.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
my girlfriend brought some homeless kids to our place a couple years ago. they stayed with us for a few days, then i drove them to St. Louise and stayed with them for a night. they were pretty nice, quiet though.
my friend Jim and i went out east last summer, stayed with his mom's friend in Pittsburgh. she is a british ex-patriot who works for a church and used to write plays at this place called the Beehive in Pittsburgh. it's a little coffee shop. actually, the picture on my profile was taken there.
Interests
music
art
mopeds (i helped found the Grand Rapids chapter of the Moped Army)
i like making things, i screen print my own shirts, make stencils, circuit bend, build electronics.

Music, Movies, and Books
i mainly listen to indie rock, but i also like punk, ska, rock, hip hop, jazz (i'm a classically trained trombonist), and anything weird (i also built and play the theremin among other things).
i like movies that provoke thought or are just about topics i'm interested in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been to australia when i was 12 with a group called People to People International. we traveled up the east coast from Sidney to Caines. it was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
i will share anything i can. i'm most familiar with music, mopeds (small engines) and various crafts. oh, and cooking, i make a mean guacamole.
