About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to travel and work on every continent
ABOUT ME
I come from a small town in a small country of Slovenia. After I graduated from something similar to social psychology, I decided it's time to explore the world and see what's out there. So I got myself a NZ working visa and went down under for a year. I didn't just find a new job, but I found my second home. After that, my new "project" was working in a summer camp in the States and I just loved it!! Then it was time to have winter again and see my family and friends for a few months, and then it was all about soaking in the sun in Andalusia, Spain!
PHILOSOPHY
Every day I learn something new. Meaning, if we are open to what is happening around us we are able to understand and learn and maybe react differently, thus changing who we are, what we do and what our role in this world is. If you do good things, inevitably good things will happen to you. But life is all about balance, so it's naive to expect bad things won't happen. And they're good for something anyway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly I offer a place to stay (if I have one) to people I meet on my travels, but one day I'd like to have a special couch reserved especially for all the other travelers like me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience was staying with Eduard in Barcelona and it was great and we are still friends today. Then I also stayed with Kim in Orlando, and that's pretty much it. I could only host one or two people so far, as I'm always living in places that don't allow me to host anyone. One day I'll have my own couch just for you :)
Interests
I'm all about rock-climbing and horse-riding, but I'd like to do that on a daily basis, not just when the opportunity appears. One day I'd like to be fearless on a mountain bike, but until then, I'll just work on being able to run a marathon. I equally enjoy surfing, roller-blading, kayaking, yoga, snowboarding, eating good food and having awesome road trips :) I'm also trying to be better in photography and movie editing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books and movies that fascinate me most are the ones that simply suck me in, and that's pretty much all ficton stuff (LOTR, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, His Dark Materials, Da Vinci code,..). I like funny autobiographies and interesting psychology books.
I also live for music. I'm absolutely not talented for singing or playing anything, but I need to have music around me, to dance and to lose myself every now and again. Festivals are what I love the most, but I never say no to a good rock concert!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ever since I decided I'm gonna try my hardest to make things happen, amazing things started to happen. In just one year, I was swimming with dolphins, went skydiving, bungee-jumping, climbed in Thailand, baked a cake in the middle of Adirondack wilderness, danced sevillana with the locals in Spain,...
But the most amazing thing I've done was stepping out of my old habits and start enjoying life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got a lot of encouraging traveling stories I can share with you, along with some good food and smoothies. I can teach you basics of other languages and depending what we like and where we are, I can teach you many different sports or simply take you for a good photo opp.
Otherwise, I'd really like to learn more about other countries and try some good food from there.
