ABOUT ME

We are a diverse couple with four amazing kids who are too quickly growing up. We have hosted three exchange students (for a year each, and one is returning for a second year) and maintain great relationships with each of them. We have hosted short-term acquaintances from Scotland, Australia, Poland, Alabama (a whole band!), and other assorted places before we even knew about couch-surfing. Both of us have traveled and love learning about different cultures, unique customs and cool foods. Jere is an EXCELLENT cook, and Susan is a great listener/connector so between us, we usually can provide a good visit.

PHILOSOPHY

Constantly developing, but mostly about extending love and hospitality to our fellow man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are brand new to this community which we learned about from a young friend who thinks it is the greatest thing. Our traveling son is now a member, and we hope to be both couch providers, and couch users!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None specifically through CS, however we have hosted NUMEROUS friends and acquaintances through the years! Currently we have rotating extra beds (as exchange students come and go and college kids are in and out of town) along with three couches and lots of floor space.

Interests

We love food, cooking, nutrition. We love soccer as our younger two play very competitive ball all over the eastern seaboard. We enjoy different cultures, reading, outdoor concerts, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and animals.
