About Me

Hey there! I’m Piyush, the face behind the travel YouTube channel “Nomad Piyush”—a dreamer with a camera and a passport!
So far, I’ve explored 8 countries, and I’m on a mission to hit 100 in the next 2 years. Why? Because the world’s too beautiful to stay in one place.

I’m a travel vlogger with a passion for storytelling, capturing cultures, people, food, and the raw experiences that make every destination unique. My journey is all about connection—whether it’s through a shared meal, a random street conversation, or a cozy Couchsurfing stay.

I vibe with kindness, curiosity, good conversations, and those deep cultural experiences that no guidebook can show. Whether it's cooking together, swapping stories, or filming a fun day in your city, I’m all in!

If you're looking for someone who’s respectful, funny, spontaneous, and always up for a laugh or a late-night deep talk—I'm your guy.

Fun Facts:

Vegetarian (but I try local dishes when I can!)

Love street photography, café-hopping, and random dance breaks

I make short vlogs that mix storytelling with humor and heart

Always happy to help with social media or shooting cool content for you too!

Let’s make memories, share cultures, and build a story together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I don’t just collect passport stamps—I collect stories, smiles, and unforgettable nights with strangers who turn into friends (or something more?).

I’m a full-time wanderer, part-time storyteller, and lowkey believer in the magic of unplanned connections. Hotels are boring, hostels are loud—but Couchsurfing? That’s where the real adventure begins.

Whether we end up cooking dinner, filming a mini travel vlog, dancing in the living room, or just laughing about cultural misunderstandings—I’m here for it.

I travel solo, but never alone. Because people like you are the reason I keep moving.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My taste in music? Let’s just say my playlist could take you from a beach in Brazil to a sunset in Istanbul, all before breakfast. I vibe with global beats, deep house, travel chill, reggaeton, Bollywood soul, and anything acoustic that makes you feel something.
If you’ve got a favorite local song—don’t just tell me, play it for me. Who knows, maybe we’ll end up dancing in the kitchen?

Books:
I’m drawn to books that make you pause mid-page and just feel. The Alchemist, Into the Wild, Atomic Habits, and any story that talks about chasing dreams, escaping comfort zones, or understanding people.
Also, if you recommend me a book, I’ll probably read it just so we can talk about it later over tea.

Movies:
Big fan of movies that make you dream big, cry a little, or pack a bag and leave. Think Before Sunrise, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Eat Pray Love, Into the Wild, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Also love international cinema—from Korean dramas to Spanish thrillers. Bonus points if we can watch one together (with subtitles and snacks).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve done a lot, but I’m always chasing the next unforgettable experience. Here are some highlights:

Traveled solo to Spiti Valley, one of the coldest and remotest places in India, and lived there for 3 weeks—surrounded by breathtaking mountains, frozen rivers, and peaceful monasteries. It was like stepping into another world.

Spent a night in Kuldhara Village, India’s most haunted village—an eerie but thrilling experience that tested my courage and curiosity.

Tried my hand at boating and surfing, riding waves and exploring waters with the wind in my hair.

Explored vibrant street markets, tasted street food that set my soul on fire, and danced with locals at festivals.

Witnessed the incredible sunrise at Pangong Lake, where the colors change every minute and the silence speaks louder than words.

Hiked through hidden trails in the Himalayas, camping under a sky full of stars that felt like a private show.

Experienced the chaos and charm of cities like Mumbai and Delhi, where tradition meets madness in the best way possible.

Every place has taught me something new, and I’m hungry for more stories, faces, and adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach, learn, and share

Teach:
I can teach you how to capture not just moments, but magic through a lens—YouTube vlogging, storytelling, and creating content that touches hearts. I can show you the rhythm of Bollywood moves, whisper a little Hindi into your world, and yes… I can cook soulful Indian meals—the kind that warm your belly and maybe your heart too.

Learn:
I'm a seeker of stories, always hungry to learn—your language, your favorite dish, your way of seeing the world. I want to hear your laughter, understand your silences, and learn the little things that make your country, your soul, unique.

Share:
I share stories, sunsets, and smiles. I carry pieces of 8 countries in my heart (and counting), and I believe the best parts of travel are not places, but people.
Let’s share a walk under city lights, a homemade meal, or a quiet night of music and deep talks.
Because sometimes, the most beautiful connections are the unplanned ones.
And who knows? Maybe the next story I film… will have you in it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring good vibes, respect, and genuine curiosity. As a traveler and creator, I’m always ready to share stories, laughs, and maybe even cook a delicious Indian meal for you to try! I’m tidy, easygoing, and appreciate your space and time.

I can also help with small things around the house, share some photography or videography tips if you’re interested, or help document your city through my lens.

Most importantly, I’m here to connect, learn, and create meaningful memories together—whether it’s over a cup of chai, exploring the local spots, or just chilling with great conversation.
