About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Bike n busk from Nawlins to SanDiego! ..then up the coast until we decide to stop.
ABOUT ME
I'm a make-your-own, live-to-live, diving-in-the-shallow-end, bratty-good-friend who cares deeply for folks, especially the genuine ones. Adventure is a'callin and I ain't got nothin to do but listen. Come with me if you're into it.
I'm a Libra. I'm an INFP. I take both of those any other scientifically assigned outfits pretty lightly. Much room for speculation, and I do like speculating.
Here's what I like doing best:

I'm and East Coast Philadelphia-area native, and my travelling identity has only begun to take shape. It's been waiting a while, and I'm finally going for it. So far, it feels pretty damn good.
PHILOSOPHY
Never assume anything is finished.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I'm biking across the southern U.S. from New Orleans to San Francisco with my good friend Joe! We're hoping to find some friendly co-travellers who will have my compatriot and I for a night or two or at least a hot shower. We can cook some good food for ya too!
We're going to spend a lot of time playing music in the street for extra money (we're going into this venture with VERY modest budgets), so maybe you can recommend a place where the drunks are friendly, haha.
Back home in Philly, I am one of a few custodians to a luxurious couch haven known to some as Hong Kong Garden. Few have experienced the magic that lives in Hong Kong Garden, but none have ever left unsatisified... I think. I mean, I'm pretty sure they liked it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My old roommates in philly organized a few surfers coming through, and I've only surfed with one actual couchsurfing.org host, but I've been bummin around New Orleans for two weeks by continuing to meet great people. Finally breaking out tomorrow morning!

Music, Movies, and Books
Ahhhh there are far too many, but here are a few to give you an idea of my inner geek.
Movies: Dr. Strangelove, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine
Music: Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Stephen Malkmus (Pavement n stuff)
Books: Steppenwolf, Stranger in a Strange Land, Tibetan Book of the Dead, Unbearable Lightness of Being (not yet finished... but it's definitely on the list)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the summer of 2010, I worked on Dauphin Island in Alabama as a "certified wildlife observer" during part of the Deepwater Horizon oil clean-up. It was an intense experience, putting around on beach buggies with random folks for 12 hour shifts over night, making sure that clean-up crews didn't disturb any nesting sea turtles or other wildlife.
There was a lot of ugly stuff, including the people I often worked with. It was a clean-up, yes, but a business for certain, and there was a decent bit of head-butting between the wildlife folks and the clean-up foremen.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm... I'll have to think on this one a bit. What the heck do it write? A guitar lesson? How to change a flat tire?
I'll get back to you.
