About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel with my wife, spend a few months in Ukraine to start learning the language, and then live in Vilnius for a few years.
ABOUT ME
We are an outgoing couple that loves to cook (my wife is a pastry chef and was big into Roller Derby before leaving to travel), enjoy the out-doors, and philosophize about current and past events (I have a degree in Classics and Religious Studies, focusing on Buddhism, but was also in the military for seven years and went overseas).
We like animals and have a black lab that will eventually be joining us in Europe.
We travel with all our own sleeping gear, so no need to provide that, and we're also happy to sleep on a floor. When we arrive, we like to cook something for our hosts, and are happy to "do our own thing" or hang out/go out with our host, whichever they prefer.
As for hosting--read our hosting blurb :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Not all those who wander are lost"
"The way that can be named is not the true way"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just starting to host after a long stint on the road.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We're new to couchsurfing, but have already had a handful of wonderful experiences since we set out in the beginning of January--and we hope to have many more!
Interests
We spend most of our time cooking, making sausages, Eastern European food, etc! Until we set out for another round of adventuring, my wife spent her time between the bakery and Roller Derby, whereas I worked with the military, finished school, and trained to be an English teacher.
We also enjoy all types of movies (most recently on a bit of a sci-fi/fantasy binge), books, and literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For my wife, it was her three month trip to Guatemala; for myself, it was the lovely sunsets in Afghanistan.
Teach, Learn, Share
My wife is an experienced baker, and can teach how to make fine croissant, bread, and pastry. In general, she is adept in all forms of cookery and food preparation.
As for myself, I'm trained in the military and as an English teacher, so anything that falls under those categories I can probably help you out with! I'm also quiet good with computers, in particular macs, for anyone that may need help in that realm.
