Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined because I was taking the train across North America and couldn't afford hostels. Little did I know what a wonderful community of welcoming, generous, caring, fun, adventurous people I was joining! I've surfed a bit, hosted a bit, and have enjoyed every minute of my Couchsurfing experience. In 2009, I happened to be hosted by the love of my life, and we have been happily married since, well, 2009.

Movies: Fern Gully, Singin' In The Rain, Cabin in the Woods, Monsters Inc., , some really awesomely bad ones like Troll II and The Room, any horror movie except BIRDEMIC, absolutely any musical from the 20s to the 50s... you know what, let's just go ahead and say I really like movies, if you want me to watch one, I will happily do so. Unless it's BIRDEMIC.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll teach you to recognise sarcasm. And I can teach English grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, etc. I do English speak real goodly. I'll also happily jabber about conservation for pretty much ever. I also love talking animal conpanionship; pet nutrition, training, general well-being. I'm a decent baker of exclusively vegan (and gluten-free if requested) treats, and I always make enough to share! I am always down to go bouldering, hiking, most anything outdoors, really. I'm fairly easygoing and always down for good wholesome fun!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a great listener; I love to hear people's stories and learn something from everyone I meet. I'm an excellent finder (like most Hufflepuffs) so if you need me to track down your TV remote that you haven't seen in months, I'm on the case. I try my best to be respectful of your space, I try to leave a place in better shape than I found it. Also, if you're a pet person, I am full of advice about the best food and treats for some of the most common animal companions!
