Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet some fun people and see their world through their eyes.
ABOUT ME
Meeting new people makes the world feel like a smaller, friendlier place. I am constantly amazed at how incredible the world is...and how much we are capable of if we are open to new experiences.
PHILOSOPHY
Understand the world the best you can then laugh while enjoying the amazing ride.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I lived for 8 years in Los Angeles hosting a good number of people from all over the world. It was great having so many surfers passing through LA and having such a great time exploring the city. I've relocated to Atlanta where I hope I still have the opportunity to host surfers regularly. And if you want to know anything about LA, ask. I love LA and am happy to share tons of insider secrets to get the most out of your trip there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All positive and most overwhelmingly so. If you are still undecided then pick someone with a bunch of good references / friends and hang out with them when you visit their town. It just might change your life.
Interests
Art, soccer, creativity, helping people, travelling, hiking, fall leaves, learning about people, making life better, reaching potential, being happy and fulfilled in the moment, laughing, experiencing new cultures, connecting with people, surprises, Mexican food, Italian food, and my family and friends.
There is much more that interests me in life but maybe it is easiest to just say I enjoy the adventure and exploration of life, and it seems to keep getting better as I get older.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite artists are Richard Serra, Cy Twombly, Tara Donovan, Jenny Holzer, Erwin Redl, Calder, Otto Zitko, Marc di Suvero, and Ed Kienholz. Favorite museums are Hamburger Bahnhof (Berlin), Storm King (NYC), Dia: Beacon (NYC), LACMA (LA), American Visionary Arts Museum (Baltimore), Guggenheim Bilbao, Hammer (LA), Saatchi Gallery (London), Kohler Art Center (Wisconsin), MOMA (NYC), Museum of Jurassic Technology (LA), Center for Land Use Interpretation (LA) and Menil (Houston).
I really like radio, now podcasts. The Adam Carolla show, Radiolab, This American Life, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me are my favorites.
Favorite reads are The Four Hour Workweek, The New Yorker, You Shall Know Our Velocity, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
I like comedies and cheesy romantic comedies. I want to laugh or have unrealistic romantic expectations validated when I see a movie. :) Documentaries are great too. And for music, I listen to KEXP everyday at work and hear a lot of my favorite bands on there. Pete Yorn, Broken Social Scene, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Silversun Pickups, U2, REM, Twilight Singers, Sunny Day Real Estate, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Our Lady Peace and Bran Van 3000 are some of my enduring favorites over the years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm...met Huell Howser. Toured northern Spain with my mom, her first trip out of North America since she toured Europe in college. Experienced Antony Gormley's One & Other in Trafalgar Square. Celebrated NYE in Gordo, AL. Spent a beautiful fall day at Storm King with best friends. Venice Biennale. The adventure of life is amazing...how could you list only one thing?
