ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm a 22 year old linguistics student in Ghent. I'm also head of the Green students, so you'll often find me organizing events for GRAS (Green Students). I lived in Stellenbosch for a couple of months and loved it; I want to go back to SA as soon as possible! I love going out and exploring life so I want to meet as many new people as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live, but quite literally. I'm a vegan and although I'm definitely not a preacher, I do like to talk about animal rights with people who are like minded.
Very much eco-conscious: we have to take care of our planet, as it is the only one we've got. I try to live as pure as I can, and minimize my ecological footprint.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a couch available, however I'm often very busy. People staying with me should be independent travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience has been completed and it was amazing! My host was wonderful and I learned a lot from her.

Interests

- my friends, who feature regularly in my dreams,
- my greyhound Lama, we rescued her from the racing tracks in Spain. She likes to bark at rabbits.
- my principles ground me.
- my family, especially my sister and my aunt
- I love reading: my favorite books and movies are those that have inner conflict that is quiet and dignified.
- ecological living, sustainability and alternative living styles: I'm interested in anything that can make our environment cleaner and that will sustain and nourish our planet. She deserves it.

Movies:
2001: A Space Odyssey, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, Eyes Wide Open, Imagine Me and You, The Nun's Story. I have a soft spot for films that show the struggle between beliefs and principles and reality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking around in New York and seeing all the contrasts, heights, lows, ... I felt like a superstar for some reason.
When I went sailing, I saw a volcano erupt while I was boating. Really cool.
