Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To understand a little about this world, and through understanding, leave it a better place.
ABOUT ME
I'm a normally quiet individual, with esoteric and eclectic tastes in everything, a passion for knowledge and learning, an unhealthy obsession with things electrical and electronic, and a strong and stubborn streak of idealism.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a humanist. I believe that this world, and the people around us, are all we have, and that we have a duty to each other to better it. We must live our lives with understanding, compassion and reason, or our societies and even our planet may be the casualties. In that vein, I plan on becoming an academic, because I can see no better way to improve our world than through the expansion of human knowledge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to show a few people around, go out for coffee and conversation, and show them that there's a little life in suburbia. I also hope that, in my future travels, somebody will repay the favor.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- I'm eclectic. Jazz, some classical, techno, and anything rockish. (No rap/hip-hop or country.)
Books- I'm a voracious reader. I read a lot of current events, and I love a good sci-fi novel. Also... Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Best. Book. Ever.
Movies- Mel Brooks' films, Quentin Tarantino's work, Galaxy Quest, The Departed, Sin City... oh, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the '80's BBC miniseries. Not the half-witted attempt at Americanizing DNA's brilliant British humour that Disney put out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 8 weeks touring the US with my family over the summer.
Countries I’ve Visited
