À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To travel around Japan, explore this strange and inspiring culture and architecture, and obtain zen!

ABOUT ME

Well. What about me? I'm a young Dane, currently studying Architecture and Design in the cozy city of Aalborg in North Jutland, not far away from where I grew up. Thought it would be cool to take my 5th semester the opposite site of the world, so I went to New Zealand for half a year!

As a small kid, my parents took me and my siblings with them to Greenland to live there for a few years. Perhaps that is where I learned to love nature and great landscapes. Anyway, watching the scenes of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit made something sparkle in me, and given the chance, I took it!

Through my architecture study I was given the chance to go to Japan. This country has greatly influated western and certainly nordic architecture for more than a century. I thought it would be really cool to get a hands-and-eyes-on experience with this weird, beautiful and fascinating country that I also have been admiring since my childhood.

My journey starts in Kyoto and takes me to Osaka, Hiroshima, Nara, Tokio, Sendai among other places in Japan. It's gonna be a lot of fun!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been off the couchsurfing wave for a while. Didn't really get into it when I jumped on it a few years ago in Australia, loving the concept. Now however, I'm exploring the possibilities in Japan!

Non yet. However, I plan to change that in the not so distant future!

And all in between

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Bungee jumping at AJ Hacketts in Cairns, Queensland, was one wicked experience I'll never forget. It definitely felt insane to jump from the 50 metre tower with nothing but an elastic cord to prevent you from falling to your death, and it was so much fun! Skydiving at Mission Beach was cool, too. Why live life on the edge when you can jump off?
