Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Discover and Develop my Philosophy

ABOUT ME

I try to travel as often as possible, even when my budget is tight. Experiencing world travel, international cuisine, and friendship is a much greater asset.

PHILOSOPHY

I often reflect on my personal humanity. However, I've come to a realization that I might be more of a true Humanitarian than most, because my beliefs are based on saving our species, not destroying it! I have to say my philosophy is largely focused on the environment. Think, Charles Darwin or " Theory of Evolution!" I think every organism has rights as we call them. I don't believe the world is here for us to exploit; be it other peoples, animals, plants, or any other thing. We have the ability to use and make our lives better as well as theirs, but we must consider the affect on the world as a whole, survival of the fittest... However, we must only take what is necessary and no more. We are now seeing the effects of climate change, ocean acidification, and the extinction of other species far to often and directly related to humans. In the not to distant future, we may be the next species fighting for our survival. I don't believe global and/or capitalistic economies are sustainable. The way we live with growth at the center will never be sustainable. The world population is out of control and sustainability will never be reached until we have some control and restraint. Zero population growth was a theme at one point in history, and it was instilled in me by my parents. I now believe negative population growth is necessary if sustainability is ever to be reach. Although, I dislike words like sustainability because they begin to lose there meaning after overuse. I am often disgusted by human beings because of this ever expanding need to grow and populate and take and destroy. I once visited the Apartheid museum in Jo'burg, South Africa; this discovery opened a new understanding about how I perceive race relation both past and present. Seeing the terrible tragedy that existed because one race believed themselves to be superior to another beyond the point of slavery. And then exploiting the land and other races in order feed their desires. Obviously, those people believed the other races to be sub-human and as sub-humans had no rights. I may be to concise here, but I could continue without end on this subject...

Algo increíble que he hecho

I've seen two sunrises in one morning less than a half hour apart.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I haven't taught anyone in a while, but I use to be pretty good at teaching people how to fly.

I'm very interested in learning new languages, right now I'm working on Spanish and I hope to move onto more of the romance languages.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
