About Me

CURRENT MISSION

;D

ABOUT ME

I am really just glad to be alive, and am making damn sure to make the most of it, and also to try and give something back to the world that gives me so much.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat other people as you'd like to be treated.
Someone once put it so well: "earn your existence". Your kindness to one person will snowball. Cherish and engage in the inevitable balance of things. Any one of us might not be here tomorrow. Every thought, every moment, every person you meet is precious. Share. Happiness comes from listening to yourself, being yourself, following your instincts, and respecting other people's right to do the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

by welcoming people to Fremantle as a host when at home, and representing Aus as a surfer when I'm away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From the local surfees to the passing surfers – each and every one had that sparkle in their eye. As a surfer, I had the chance to swim deep into places that on my previous CSless trips, I had barely scratched the surface of.

Interests

Nothing too fancy... a simple life full of good people and places, energetic things, traveling to appreciate how the rest of the world lives and having the chance to do it their way for a while. A bit of a challenge. Hearing a story, telling a story, getting a smile, a chat with a friendly stranger, making stuff, music and dancing, seeing love, giving love, chasing some fast book's tale, preparing extravagant feasts, eating them, my head on grass, being with friends, hiking, cycling, rambling.

Music, Movies, and Books

hmmm...well I love David Foster Wallace's vivid head of tricks, I can't believe he just made that stuff up. Kurt Vonnegut has such a great sense of humour. Just read Shantaram and The Inheritance of Loss – both amazing accounts of India. Movies: Spirited Away, you have to see it! I'd die without some melodies, give me what you've got... listening to all sorts these days, ballads and base, bongos and blues, even a bit of rockabilly for a twist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a big flight into the universe, well at least about our own little earthy one. It gave me a good kick in the pants and I will never be the same again. Later I worked as a volunteer in Bihar and Ghana. There are no words to describe it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Giraffes have no vocal cords (or so the tomato juice told me).
The bee sucks the honey suckle nectar, and the honey it makes is so thick, that it's able to suck the water (life) out of germs. That's why bacteria can't live in honey.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Ghana, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Monaco, Nepal, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Germany, India, Ireland, United Kingdom
