About Me

Expat and newfound Londoner.
Born and raised in Bologna, Italy. Quite a nice place to live, less rushy than the bigger cities in the country, provides you with good food and lively nightlife. Spaghetti Bolognese are not a thing there.

Visiting New York City meant a lot in broadening my horizons but so far it's been the only place I've been that is a bit out of reach. Props for 2018, get out of Europe again. Ha. Not in the sense of Brexit, really, that was crap.
I'm pretty much a nerdy/geek type, and can potentially become boring quickly if I start talking about my geeky hobbies, computers, videogames, manga and anime... But have been working on it :D On the other hand I'm a good listener, and I have other interests including going clubbing (I know that's not properly dancing but it's fun), listening to music, hanging out with my friends in general...

I'm not the sports fanatic, not supporting any football(soccer) team which is a unique feature in Italian men. I enjoyed windsurfing when I had the chance, probably would try it again when the chance comes.
In a love/hate relationship with photography.
Politically speaking I'm quite liberal. European, not Australian style.
Other people's religions don't matter much to me: I'm respectful but I don't feel the need of any of it for myself. If ever, I would be an animist or something like that, I have trust in Karma in the broad sense.
I'm peaceful, respectful, open to dialogue as a way to resolve problems between people.

"Chi troppo vuole vaffanculo", a writing on a toilet wall said, A variation of the idiom "chi troppo vuole nulla stringe" which means something like "who wants too much, gains nothing", but in a renewed, ruder way of saying it, becoming "fuck off to the man who wants too much".
I like to share.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At first I subscribed for the chance of being hosted actually, then I found myself hosting for a couple of times and it has been a great experience so far.

Interests

listening to music, making music, making sounds, taking pictures, surfing the net, meeting my friends in the same old places, nurturing my career, traveling, seeking happiness

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Fight Club, Inception, And he died with a felafel in his hand, American History X, Santa Maradona, Crank (and most other Jason Statham movies), Being John Malkovich, Léon (The Professional), Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, Frankenstein Junior (Young Frankenstein), The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
just to name some

Music: I started enjoting music when I was maybe 14 or 15. High school dragged me into the Punk environment, making me a Punk, Rock, Metal addicted.
Then I started getting back some interest in electronic music. In the mid-noughties I participated in a couple of rave festivals where I heard and danced to some of the best Goa - Psytrance music in a multicultural, friendly atmosphere, bit new age but an incredible experience.
I now listen to many kinds of music, both from the mainstream and the indie and underground panoramas.

Books: I liked Pennac, Palahniuk (Fight Club, Invisible Monsters), Hornby, Watzlawick, Baricco, many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Egyptian coral barrier is certainly one of them. Crazy things I did at many parties around.
Running for the lenght of a bus stop following the bus for the backpack I forgot on it.
Living in Bergen, Norway for 6 months for my Erasmus exchange program at uni.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn everything I can from the people I get in touch with.
I can teach how to keep a ping-pong ball in the air by blowing and how to make yourself look ridiculous in so many ways, also I know how to whistle in many different ways (annoying or pleasurable?)

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, Italy, Norway
