EULA for Dealings with Andrew Gardner

By reading this profile for User Andrew Gardner (Hereafter referred to as "Andy"), you (Hereafter referred to as... "you") tacitly agree to the following license dictating the terms of the friendship.

I - You agree that Andy is at the very least "pretty cool," though a higher degree of coolness is preferred.

II - You are totally cool with Andy's peculiarities, including, but not limited to, his diet (meat free), sleeping patterns (pretty normal actually), initial shyness, and occasional tendency to get lost in thought and/or climb things (notably trees).

III - You agree to engage in at least one (1) discussion with Andy on the topic(s) of: i) you, your life and your culture; ii) why things are the way they are; iii) science in culture; iv) ethics; v) cartoon movies; or vi) another topic that is agreed upon by both parties.

This agreement can be terminated at any time by Andy, and replaced with one that's more fun and/or awkwardly phrased in its linguistic patterns (Exhibit A).

Music, Movies, and Books

Groundhog Day is probably my favourite movie. I like books and movies about time-travel. I'm also into cartoons and comedies. Iron Giant always gets me.

I read a lot of science stuff. Books I've enjoyed: Time-Traveller's Wife, Ishmael, Third Chimpanzee, most anything Vonnegut, most anything Eggers.

I listen to classical music (Dvorak's mah fave), and rock bands, like Weezer and the Pixies. Can't get enough Pet-Sounds-era Beach Boys.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a 3-month trip to Europe, getting there and back without flying. Spent 10 days each way as a passenger on a cargo freighter.

I've been on two 10-day meditation retreats that have changed my life. Vows of silence were taken, fasting occurred - lots of good stuff.
