I also enjoy meeting people and making new friends as well! Have made friends from all over the world staying at hostels and just engaging in conversations.

I think I wouldn't be a good host currently in my tiny studio apartment, however would definitely be interested in hosting once I move out.

Besides generally liking to make friends. Meeting a local aspect to me is also a big big interest. I can learn about what it's really like to be there.

From a couple of friends I met in San Francisco I went to visit them in Ireland!
From a Finnish friend I hung out in Hungary, we met up again to travel in NYC!
I've had many friends as well stayed with me in Thailand.
You never know what kind of friends you'll make!

Also Financially. I like to travel but it does get expensive, saving money via CS will allow me to see more places and meet more people.
