About Me
Hey there,
I'm Antoinette and I'm currently on a mission to travel all 50 states.
After settling in back home in the US for the past two years I realized that I had not yet seen so much of good ol' America, and as a good ol' American girl I would love to represent my country better by sharing and caring with some of my neighbors right here at home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The idea started with my first excursion outside of state on a business trip. I decided to AirBnB instead of stay at a hotel because I craved real and deep human interaction. Not only did the experience keep me going throughout a tough week in business, but the human touch helped me exceed my wildest expectations and I ended the week on one of the highest notes I had had thus far, both personally and professionally.
I believe that deep human interaction is powerful, life-changing and, unfortunately, a rare commodity these days.
It was this passion that lead my first hosts to lovingly nickname me "AirBnB An" and the name stuck. I've always been a bit of a "nomad", but at this particular point in time I am traveling across the great USA for 2017 and possibly years to come and I would like end my journey with the most fun, genuinely humorous and interesting stories to tell.
Interests
I'm renowned for being a "health nut" and come fully equipped with my own pro tools which I would be happy to use to whip up the delicious food I have become famous for making. It is always a pleasure to share and watch faces light up because the only thing more fun than Miso Soup for one is Miso soup for two.
If I reach out to you it means that I would genuinely love to add you to the story unfolding.
Thus far I have had nothing short of impactful and profound experiences while traveling - be it on Couchsurfing or AirBnB (I alternate between the two) - and I'm looking to add to my collection of exchanges, stories and bellies filled with delicious, healthy food.
Side note: I love sharing book and movie recommendations

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept in a desert rode into on camelback and watched the sun rise over the horizon.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Recipes, recipes, recipes! From Indian to Japanese to American any of the hosts I've stayed with can vouch for the recipes I've shared all the way from Bocas Del Toro, Istanbul Turkey to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
These are the secret recipes that bring back your glow, make you feel great, help you lose weight (one of my clients lost 100lbs and put on solid muscle on these recipes!) and are delicious. If I leave nothing else than the knowledge of how to eat your way to a healthier you behind then I will be satisfied.
And if food isn't your thing, we can definitely bond over books, travel stories or lots of other juicy tales :)
