ABOUT ME
***** Italian version ******
Dimenticavo! Adoro i gelati!

I'm Manuela, well-known to my friends (more in Pisa, where I studied) as Pocca.
I am an energetic person, who loves busy days! :)
I consider myself a lucky person: I work in the hospital in my town, 6 hours a day, so I can dedicate the rest of the day to many activities :) my favorites: going to the beach (even walking or reading in winter), doing work in the countryside in the vegetable garden, live with friends and family :)
I love nature, the beauty of simple things, walking barefoot, dancing as the body wants to move, dressing colorful, listening to good music (possibly live), attending a good theatrical show, drinking pure wine at the table, picking vegetables, fruit and legumes (which my father grows) and eat them 'transformed' shortly afterwards, light the fire in the fireplace and sip tea and special infusions in front of its flame.
Oh! I forgot! I love ice creams! :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” - George Bernand Shaw
I firmly believe in the power of the cooperation and the sharing. And I love wondering when I feel/touch/see the beauty that they with simplicity create. So I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in its fundamentals. (it's a pity that, since it became profit, couchsurfing is no more the same beautiful network...!)
I like share time, chat, experience, food, ways of living/doing/thinking.. and Couchsurfing make that possible at home, when you host, and far from your place, where you're a guest! :)

Until a few months ago, I lived and hosted at my parents' house. Many CS have been delighted with the experiences there. Since February 2020 I live in a small house in the village. The spaces are smaller, the room is shared, there is no countryside. But my parents are equally hospitable and always love to meet the couchsurfers I host :) So we can invite ourselves to their home! :D
I like to live some traditions together with my family: picking olives, vegetables, fruits from the garden, preparing the tomatoes sauce, making homemade pasta, cooking pignata of legumes on the fire, having family reunions :) If it happen to be on these occasions, you will probably live them with us .. and if it doesn't happen, but you're curious, we'll try to make them happen! : D
