ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Canti, 26 years old Indonesian living in Bali, Indonesia. I'm a tarot reader and an astrology writer and I like to go to abandoned / haunted places. I love dogs too! Especially Balinese stray dogs because they're super friendly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host on couchsurfing at the moment, but if you wanna meet for coffee or just ask me to be your travel buddy around Bali, I'll be totally available for it. My work is freelance and online based, so I can work from anywhere and anytime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed to these buddies' places:

Hafeez Shah (Singapore)
Iwan Salim (Singapore)

I have hosted these buddies (or hang out around the town with these buddies):

Ronnie Gatsby (Philippine)
Cina Dilber (Germany)
Nicolas & Zuhe (Spain)
Kayne Sheenan (New Zealand)
Pigeon and Jasmine (Australia)
Annisa Syifa Adriana (Indonesia)
Alejandro Rojas (Mexico/Australia)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music: Broadway musical songs (Wicked, The Rocky Horror Show, Annie, Miss Saigon, Chicago, The Producers), Burt Bacharach, and original jazz/samba singers in which Sinatra, Holiday, Gilbertos, Jobim are included.

But recently I've been immersing myself in anything that involves hiphop beats and jazz such as Tom Misch, Ta-ku, Flume, Sango, Frank Ocean, Drake, Solange, Lorde, Banks, Chloe Martini, ATU, Blood Orange, How To Dress Well, Twin Shadow, Denitia and Sene, Dream Koala, Lorde, Elaquent, Dorsh, and last but not least Nujabes.

Movies:

Blue Is The Warmest Color, Secretary, Virgin Suicide, Lolita, The Story of O, Suicide Club (自殺サークル), Girl Interrupted, Sleeping Beauty (Emily Browning), Veronica Decides To Die (ベロニカは死ぬことにした), Hansel and Gretel (헨젤과그레텔), Pet Sematary, Room 237, The Shining, Donnie Darko, The Great Gatsby, Oldboy (and other Park Chan Wook's films such as Thirst and Stoker), Nymphomaniac, Sweeney Todd, The Holy Mountain, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Let The Right One In (yes, the original one), and of course, The Craft.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've survived cycling alone around Kyoto, Japan from one temple to another, without a proper map (just a doodle map), and simply using my basic Japanese skill.

And uh.... 7Eleven mashed potato. What the heck man? Is that even a potato? Taste super weird. So they pour a water first, and like a yellow water, and suddenly it turns into a mashed potato. WHAT THE HECK MAN?

Teach, Learn, Share

Ok so I don't know how this Teach Learn Share works. Just... let me do it my way, okay?

Teach: How to survive with low budget. And how to read map? Hi, I'm Dora The Explorer.

Learn: I want to learn how to speak English with different accents. I dabbled in Singlish, Australian English, American English, British English. I love to learn more though!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
